IA is officially ending tomorrow and I realized that the most important thing I set out to achieve isn't done. Time is ticking and all I can think about is where's the next sale and where to travel next. I need to do MUCH better than that. The thought of working as an engineer is daunting.

Bands like them are like wine. The older, the better. I'm 22 and part of the oldies. Most of their songs are even older than me. Many famous bands have either split due to personal pursue of fame or the leaving of a core member. Not many can withstand the test of time.


I'm still trying to decide whether I should attend SingFest. Performances and concerts should be made more affordable to attract mass.

Attended Steven Tong Gospel Rally 2008 "Who is Jesus?" combine choir rehearsal. It was a total nightmare. 6 out of 8 songs will be sung in mandarin and I have trouble even reading the mandarin characters (the unsimplified version). How am I gonna sing in parts? For English hymns, you read the melody and fit in the lyrics. For mandarin, I have to read the melody, skip the English lyrics, skip the mandarin characters and sing the hanyu pinyin. I'm seriously gonna pull my hair out. 11 years of mandarin lessons can't even tide me through a few songs. Juz as I thought mandarin reading and writing is out of my life, it creeps back. My current mandarin proficiency is like 4/10?

My boss wanted me to shift from device engineering office to solution engineering office. And because there's not enough cubicles, I'm given one of those managers' office. A little room all to myself. I would rather sit in some corner and being left alone.

to all durian lovers out there

revisited childhood

Dropped by the apartment I grew up in to fetch my dad. He was prep-ing the place for some renovation since the tenant juz vacated. Everything in the place looks minimized, probably due to the fact that I was young/small at that time and so it's kinda a relative thing. And even after 11 years, I still see familiar furniture in the house, how my sis and I built Lion King tents in our room, with blankets marking land and others water, how we carried our mattresses to our parents' room and camp there every Friday night. The funny thing was that the place is like 2 bus stops away from NYGH and yet we shifted to our present place which is 'nearer' to my mum's office. I mean it's juz 10 mins down the street and her office is in Tuas. How much nearer can it get? hahaha. So my sis and I nv had the chance to enjoy the convenience.

Anyways, my sis brought up the topic of how long haven't my mum taken a public bus. Few months ago, my dad gave her a EZLink card and challenged her to take a bus down to town alone (direct bus to town from my place). She walked out of the condo and flagged a cab. Her excuse, don't wanna waste time waiting for bus and rocking on the bus to town. errr. She was still so proud to say that the last time she boarded a public bus was way before I was born. ?????
