sunday's itinerary

For those invited:

We'll meet SHARPLY at Harbourfront taxi stand at 11.30AM, then take a drive to Sentosa Cove where the yacht is docked. It is scheduled to set sail at 12noon. We will be cruising around Singapore waters for one or two hours before the yacht anchors at one of Singapore's offshore islands (eg. St John's, Hantu, Sister's Island) while we enjoy our lunch. After that, we can go snockelling, fishing, ride the dinghy, or even explore the island if permitted. Life vests and buoys are available. Also, bring along a bath towel even if you do not intend to swim. As the sun sets, we'll head back to mainland. That's about it.
Please pray that it doesn't rain on Sunday!

music genius: andrew lloyd webber

The music arrangement was GREAT, stage props totally BLEW me away, It's amazing how the many layers of props can produce such a visual effect. My 2 favorite scenes: Masquerade and the second boat scene, where he kidnapped her. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all their songs! The Phantom of the Opera is one musical that everyone should watch.

anticipation

Managed to dig up my Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, bought 12 years ago when I first watched it at Kallang Theatre. I was kinda young then and didn't really know how to enjoy it. Vaguely remembered the chandelier scene though. Hopefully after drowning myself in the songtrack and the movie, I'll be able to fully appreciate it and make the money spent worth. So looking forward to watching it tomorrow! Singapore should bring in more broadway musicals.

how patient are you?

How slow can one drive on the expressway without getting horned? I've tried 50-60 km/hr but it didn't work. Are Singapore drivers that patient?

hot newscaster

If every newscaster is so hot, news would be the most watched program on TV. As my friend said, he will go to France juz to watch her on news even though he knows nuts about french. Also, since when newscasters are allowed to dress so casually? Isn't news supposed to be formal? Melissa Theuriau.

have i gone do-nuts?

How crazy can I get, queueing up for donuts for over an hour even before the shop opens. I thought if I'll to go earlier on a weekday, the queue won't be that long but apparently everyone thinks likewise. At any single moment, there's at least 30 people in the queue. Imagine how long is the wait if each person buys 2 dozens of donuts. Courtesy of DONUT FACTORY.

follow or fold

Friday night = Texas Hold'em. Looks like we haven't really gotten over CNY. Do you actually count the probability or simply play by luck?

Eating crab is like eating ice cream

It tastes so much better when someone peels the crab for you.

mission impossible?

Do you know of anyone who can pass a MEDICINE EXAM by studying 2 days before the paperS, skipped almost half of all the lectures, and didn't even have the full set of notes the day preceding the exam? I think I know someone who has done it. Is it possible? I don't think I can even do it given 2 weeks.

soften my heart

Ever heard a radio newscaster breaking into hiccups while reading news? It's super hilarious.. Even the newscaster wanted to laugh at himself.

more time / less time

Wad's the point of having an open book test when there's not enough time to flip through the notes? And wad's the point of having so much time for a close book test when there's nothing to write and about half the number of people taking the test can leave early?

If you did it on purpose, you've succeeded. If not, I'm reading way too much. Anyways, I feel like I've evolved into a monster.

happy 21st to kristy and chiew

North Indian Cuisine @ Omar Shariff

The food there rocks! It was like we were having cultural lessons over again. Nun = bread = prata or pappadam = cracker = biscuit. The waiters were so so polite and nice. The food was reasonably priced and most of all, the company was great. Our table was talking and laughing the loudest.

Tea Party

See how comfortable and satisfied we look, amusing ourselves with Star Wars monopoly, the comfy sofa and cushions, our drinks, plus soulful music. Total photo whores..

Kristy's present : Adidas Original Jacket

Chiew's present : DKNY Watch

apparently, i've bad taste

Went on a flower hunt and finally found a place which sells them at a reasonable price (within budget). Of coz, most florists will encourage their customers to get the 'ready-made' hand bouquets as it saves them the trouble and it costs more as compared to stalk-by-stalk sale. Anyway, after selecting my flowers and stuffs, she asked how would i like it to be wrapped. I gave her a brief idea of wad i had in mind, and there it started. She started giving her PROFESSIONAL opinion about how i should do it, the colours, the arrangement, the ribbons etc. When i told her i'll juz stick to my initial idea, she and her partner started saying, 'Nowadays young people have DIFFERENT ideas so juz give them wad they want.' It felt quite sarcastic to me though. Eventually, I didn't even get the colour of ribbons i wanted as they felt that the colour i chose didn't match. Most importantly, they didn't have the ready-tied ribbon in the colour i wanted so they gave me one of their pre-tied ribbons and said it matches better. In my opinion, they are plain lazy and want things the easy way.
