don't judge me

I'm not the greatest fan of imitation but it's a different story when I make it. Somehow, the effort that goes in makes up for the discrepancy in price. All I used was a black permanent marker and a plain white tee.

fall is all about white, black and grey

I need these!!!! For all the brands that SG brings in, where is H&M????? This is unfair.

shot down like a leopard

Witnessing some live backstabbing at work. Not me of coz. I'm trying to play the good guy and not step on anyone's toes. Unfortunately, some people have a stinking attitude to start with, thus making my life difficult....

work it out

I'm trying to explore the boundaries to the type of clothes I wear to work. Instead of the conventional working attire, I'm trying to spice my day up a bit since dolling up cheers me. In fact, the only time when I'm not gowned up in lab attire is when I enter/leave office and during lunch. Oh well... At least I feel good and not get sucked into the dullness of being far away from civilization =) Oh and I'm super into flag tees now. Finally scored a union jack one after searching high and low for it. I thought it's everywhere but when I tried finding it, there's none to be found.
Blazer: Zara, Top: Bershka, Leggings: F21, Broques: ASOS

Someone from SPRING came for an office visit today (thank god I'm gowned up). My VP was explaining the stuffs we do here, the products, our future direction blah blah.. She then asked, " What are the qualifications of the technicians here? Are they all GRADUATES?" .......................... COME ON! Are you idiot or what? Assuming you are a graduate yourself, would you work in the manufacturing line as an assembly technician? Pragmatism of SG statutory boards.....
****
You know how people can rumble nonsense when they are so sure that they are right but are juz pure confused? Our manufacturing manager tried blaming the electronic weighing scale that it's spoilt. Nice try....

CHIC Magazine

I was browsing through the magazines at Borders and chanced upon this.
The editor used to be from Smitten, a magazine that I enjoyed thoroughly until it suddenly stopped publication. Instead of aiming at those who are trading excess for excellence and buying only classic 'valued' items, it chooses an assortment of yummy and so-affordable-they're-guilt-free goodies that proved to work as well. Items featured are chic and affordable, suitable for a lowly paid engineer who's desperately trying her best to repay off her outrageous debts to her blood sucking mum.It has some pretty nice stuffs and I actually managed to sit down and read it through page by page.
I spy the green or pink one for work =)
CHIC is out every first and third Friday of the month for $2.80/issue. Even though this is only their second issue, it looks promising and I'm buying it as of now. Juz hope that it doesn't become too Seventeen-ish.

I <3 dim sum

Post National Day Dim Sum brunch at Meritus Mandarin's Pine Court, courtesy of my mum. Yes I know I should be the one paying since I'm working but my mum wanna celebrate my first week of work, as well as my sis's first day of college tomorrow. No way am I going to fight to foot the bill.....

This is definitely one of my fav dim sum places. Free flow of sashimi, peking duck, baby lobster, dim sum etc... We probably only tried half of their menu. All these for $38. Even Nithe surrendered.

Happy National Day
