I've been obsessing over the bustier look and finally created my version. Juz line a plain tee with shoe lace or ribbon and there you go. love love love! There are a few figure flattering patterns that I'm dying to try.....

I love how accessories can makeover an entire outfit. Get a long piece of chain, cut them up and join them back together and this is what you'll get in less than half an hour.

I managed to sell my Miu Miu Matelasse at the same price that I bought 8 months ago =) That's the good thing about sales and the unpredictability of second hand market.... It's all about doing sufficient homework and some luck.

My eyes are busted yet again for the umpteen time. I have 3 different types of eye drops to hydrate my eyes at all times, even some gel when I'm sleeping. I'm supposedly not allowed to wear contact lenses for the next month or so. When my eyes are over strained, my vision becomes hazy (I think my cornea is itchy hence the scratching). The prescription of my glasses are off but changing them now will make me appear more blind than I actually am, thus there's no point changing them now. Conclusion: I'm turning blind. Maybe lasik is the only solution......

don't judge me

I'm not the greatest fan of imitation but it's a different story when I make it. Somehow, the effort that goes in makes up for the discrepancy in price. All I used was a black permanent marker and a plain white tee.

As you can tell, I'm madly into floral now. I used to find colorful floral prints very 'auntie' and old fashion but now, floral brings a new meaning. It totally adds a different dimension to the outfit. And I'm loving my doc martens but haven't gotten the chance to wear them out. I'll probably get a million stares if I'm to walk down town like this. That's when the shades come in handy =)

Oh did I mention that I made this playsuit from scratch!!! Inspired by this. It took me XXX hrs but it's totally worth the effort. Can't wait for my sewing machine to 'give birth' to more babies.. Shall aim for 1 new item per week =)

DIY Project - Bleached Jeans

I'm totally a denim girl and I had to try this bleached jeans look. I've been sitting on it for too long. The thought of destroying a perfectly fine pair of jeans makes it harder to get started.

If Balmain said so, who are we to deny it? My eyes are immediately drawn to it.

First of, I managed to dig up a pair of Topshop skinnies which haven't been worn for the past 1.5 years or so. Instead of it going to waste rotting in my wardrobe, why not give it a shot right...

The bleach I used isn't as strong as I wanted it to be and thus I had to bleach and re-bleach and re-bleach and re-bleach until the contrast was obvious enough. I think I've used enough bleach to last me a life time. Now the reek of bleach is embedded into my olfactory system.

DIY Project - Double U-Neck Dress

The American Apparel Double U-Neck Dress is by far the most popular AA dress among fashion bloggers. I can't help but lust for one myself. The time and effort taken to make this piece might be madness but the satisfaction upon completion is freaking amazing. Sewing sleeves for the first time can be a bitch.

DIY Project - Fringe Vest

Of late, I've been really obsessed with fringe. When I saw this vest from Sass and Bide, my jaw dropped.

Obstacles faced

1. Finding the right materials, from the cloth used for the vest, to the beads and sequins for the details. I've combed Spotlight twice, People's Park twice and Arab Street once juz to search for the correct beads.
2. Hand sewing all the beads and sequins onto the vest. Sewing machine is USELESS.
3. Hemming. I seriously HATE hemming and again it has to be hand sewn for various reasons.

I have been eyeing on this basic racerback dress for awhile but the simplicity of it doesn't worth that much, so this is my version.

DIY Project - Sass and Bide Beaded Top

Exams were juz over on Friday and I'm gonna lock myself up until I've tried all my DIY ideas. For the past few days, I think I've worked harder than studying for exams =) Anyway, I LOVE this Sass and Bide beaded top. There's juz something about it that drew my eyes to it at first sight.

So I've spent many many many hours, beading thousands and thousands of beads by hand. It's really damn tedious. I think I've beaded over 10m of it and my eyes are pretty dead now. But I guess it's worth US$140.

It isn't perfect yet and the beads are not as close as I wish. Maybe I'll have to bead another 10m to obtain the original look. This is my favourite t-shirt now =)

DIY Project - AA Dress

I've decided to buy this dress from American Apparel (not!). It can be worn in so many different ways and looks pretty versatile.

Ok. I borrowed the idea and made my own version =) Why would I want to buy a dress that cost US$38 when I can make it in less than 1hr for less than S$10.
