i need a push

It's puzzling to see how some people simply know what they want in life and people like me are juz sitting around waiting for the next big thing to hit me. There's so much I wished to accomplish during this attachment but it seems to be all talk and no action. All I'm looking forward to is the next holiday where I need not drag my ass out of bed at 630am.

and so it's fixed

She's tendering her resignation tomorrow after her boss comes back from her 2 weeks leave. 1 month after tomorrow, I'll be left all alone. No more 'going back to school', only official leaves and MCs. Luckily I managed to get her to approve my special sem (out of office on both Monday and Tuesday mornings for 6 weeks) so whoever takes over me has no choice. But I may have to use my official leaves to go back to school for real lessons. Oh well, we'll juz have to see how her boss accepts the news tomorrow.

project apple

My supervisor juz dropped a bomb on me. There's 80% chance she is gonna tender this Friday. To do what? Pluck apples at a farm in NEW ZEALAND for 3 MONTHS! I'm not kidding. Apparently her auntie, who works at ADECCO, found her this assignment which pays NZD$35 per bucket. Basically she has to pay everything and she'll only receive pay in terms of buckets. Somehow she calculated that at the end of 3 months, she will not only be able to pay for the trip, there should also be a profit of about NZD$4000. According to her, the thought of leaving has been on her mind for awhile but there wasn't any pulling factor. This opportunity allows her to take a long deserved break and set her life's direction. At 28, she still isn't sure of her career path. That some sort of consolation to myself.

This means I'll be boss-less for the last month of my attachment. I seriously hope that I won't need to report directly to her boss. I'll die. No more 'going back to school'. I must save my official leaves for then.

i'm such a patriot

I must be crazy or feeling super rich to spend like that. My mum is so gonna cancel my supp. card if she knows how I shop. I'll juz treat it as my birthday gift if she starts. I have to say that it was quite a bargain. The pair of shoes worth $xxxx was going at 75% off while the belt at 80%, which turns out to be about the same as an ArmaniExchange belt at retail. Still, that shouldn't justify my spurge. Who actually notices your shoes? hahahaha. damn..

Anyway, I've opened my eyes to the true shopperholics. There were NO fitting rooms and NO mirrors. The average price of each top was $300-$400 after the massive discount. And people still managed to FILL their shopping bags. Clothes of that value, with or without discount, shouldn't be treated like that.

... and the sea

This is the first time I'm so excited to dine at a coffee shop, and also the first time I'm spending so much money at a coffee shop. I think they sell more crabs daily then all the restaurants at turf city combine. And since it's so FAMOUS, nithe the crab lover has to try.

Surely they lived up to their reputation

what is your brain for?

I hate being pushed around at work. Was asked to help map out some chain process without any prior knowledge of what they wanted. Basically, they called me into their last meeting and asked me to put their drawings into the computer. No sample, no template. So I spent 1 week to come up with my version of a timeline. When we called for a review meeting, they said that I didn't include some essential information which was not mentioned or emphasized during the meeting. How am I supposed to know what they wanted when they didn't give me any guidelines? So they gave me a template on visio basic and I was supposed to come up with something similar. I've decided to use excel since I'm more familiar with it and it's easier for me to make changes. After 3 days of work, my supervisor then said, maybe you should do it using visio basic since their example was on visio basic. I'm pretty sure they look the same. Why are they so rigid?? If they think that I was not doing a good job, why don't they juz do it themselves? It's not even part of my job to HELP them. The worst thing is that I'll be shifting to their office soon and I can't stand the sight of them (physically).
